The manufacturer warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a period of 15 years after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The manufacturer warrants the light kit (excluding any glass), wall control and motor controller to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of three years after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The manufacturers also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of one year after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or superior model if the product is returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All costs of removing and reinstalling the product are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident, misuse, improper installation or by afxing any accessories, is not covered by this warranty. A certain amount of “wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect. Servicing performed by unauthorized persons shall render the warranty invalid. There is no other express warranty. 2. Fan has Low Airflow

1. Blade Direction
1. Ensure the fan is set to the correct direction using the fan direction (reverse) button on the wall control or the hand held remote (if applicable).
2. Counter-clockwise for forward/downward airflow (summer mode).
3. Clockwise for reverse/upward airflow (winter mode).
2. Blade Height
1. Ensure the fan blades are between 7ft – 9 ft from the floor for optimal airflow.
2. If the fan is installed too high, airflow will be reduced, and you will need a longer downrod (purchased separately) to lower the fan.
   
3. Fan Speed
1. Ensure the fan is set to the highest fan speed for maximum airflow.
   
1. Speed #6 on the Wall Control
   
2. "+" Button on the Remote Control (keep pressing until LED indicator bar on remote show full green).
   
2. If the fan appears to be running slower than usual, follow the “Fan is Running Slow” checklist above.
   
4. Considerations
   
1. Blade Size
1. Larger blade ceiling fans will push more air, but they will distribute it over a wider area.
   
2. Smaller blade fans concentrate air into a smaller space, creating a stronger wind.
   
3. The 10 ft fan won't feel as strong as the 6 ft fan, but will be able to reach the furthest edges of very large spaces.
   
4. The 8 ft fan is the in-between compromise for both.
   
2. Location
   
1. Indoor installations will have improved airflow because the fan can cycle air from the walls/ceiling.
   
2. Open/outdoor installation will have reduced airflow because there may not be 4 walls to properly funnel the air.
   

3. Fan is Wobbling

1. Check Screws/Loose Parts
1. Verify that all screws are tightened properly; loose screws on the coupling cover, downrod, or hanger bracket can cause wobble.
   
2. Check for Extended Downrod
   
1. Using very long downrods (3 ft. or more) can introduce minor wobble at higher fan speeds.
   
2. A balancing kit can be sent to help reduce the wobble a bit, but may not clear it all.
   
3. Minor wobble on long downrods is normal and not warranty issue.
   
3. Check Mounting Structure
   
1. The fan must be installed on a level/flat ceiling, it cannot be installed on any kind of slope with the included mounting hardware.
   
2. The fan must be installed on a UL listed ceiling outlet box that is rated "For Fan Support" of at least 50 lbs.
   
3. Installing on a light fixture-only box or other type of mounting structure can cause stability and safety issues.
4. Check Blades
1. Verify that the blades are level with each other and are not warped.
   
1. You can verify blade level issues by measuring from the ceiling to the tip of one blade, then rotating the fan by hand to get the measurements of all blades.
   
2. Any deviation over 1/8 of an inch may indicate a warped blade, warped blade holder, or a loose installation of those components.
   
2. Run the fan without the blades to see if wobble persists with the blade arms.
3. If wobble stops:
   
1. Minor Wobble: May be improved with a balancing kit.
   
2. Sever Wobble: May require replacement blades.

1. 1. Turn of power to all fans from the wall switch or breaker.

1. Verify that the fans are within 30 ft of range from the wall control or hand held remote.
   
2. Pair the Wall Control (or Hand Held Remote)
   
1. Pairing the wall control/remote will add it to the memory of all fans.
   
2. Follow steps below.
   
1. 1. Turn of power to all fans from the wall switch or breaker for a few moments.
   
1. The wired wall control has a slider switch tab at the bottom that cuts power to the fan when pulled out (if wired to it).
   
2. 2. Ensure the Dipswitch is in the "D" position
   
1. Location
   
1. Wall Control - Remove the small face plate to expose the "O/D" dipswitch slider underneath.
   
2. Hand Held Remote Control - In the battery compartment.
   
3. 3. Restore power to the fan from the wall switch or breaker.
   
1. If using the wired wall control, push the slider switch all the way back in.
   
4. 4. Press and hold the "learn" button.

1. Wall Control - Remove the small face plate to expose the button underneath.
   
2. Hand Held Remote Control - In the battery compartment.
   
2. Do this within 30 seconds of restoring power to the fan.
   
3. Use a pen or pointed tool if you are having a hard time firmly pressing the button down.
   
5. 5. Release the "learn" button when all fans have begun to spin.
   

4. An unwanted remote was paired to the fan (un-pairing instructions)

1. Clear unwanted controllers using the Memory Reset Function
   
1. Re-pairing the wall control/remote using the memory reset function will resolve most interference issues.
   
2. Follow steps below.
   
1. 1. Turn of power to all fans from the wall switch or breaker.
   
1. The wired wall control has a slider switch tab at the bottom that cuts power to the fan when pulled out (if wired to it).
   
2. 2. Ensure the Dipswitch is in the "D" position

3. 3. Restore power to just the first fan only from the wall switch or breaker.
   
1. If using the wired wall control, push the slider switch all the way back in.
   
4. 4. Press and hold the "learn" button for at least 15 seconds.

2. Hand Held Remote Control - In the battery compartment.
   
2. Do this within 30 seconds of restoring power to the fan.
   
3. Use a pen or pointed tool if you are having a hard time firmly pressing the button down.
   
5. 5. Release the "learn" button after the 15 seconds have passed.
   
1. If unsure, continue holding until 30 seconds have passed.
   
6. This will clear the fan's memory and it will only save the current wall control/remote used for the process as its only control device.
   
7. 6. Turn off power to recently paired fan, and repeat steps 2-5 for the remaining fans and controls.
   
1. Only the fan being actively paired should have power.
   
2. All other fans, even if they have been paired previously, should have power off so they do not unintentionally memorize new remotes.
   

5. Fan and Light are Turning On or Off on their Own

1. Check Control Devices
   
1. Verify only the included wall control or hand held remote is in use.
   
2. Third party remotes, wall controls, and dimmer switches are not compatible with this fan model.
   
2. Check Wall Control Limit
   
1. If using the wired wall control, verify that the fans are not exceeding the amperage limit of the wall control:

3. If the fans are exceeding the wall control limit, TAL offers an optional hand held remote control. The fans can be wired to a standard on/off toggle switch and operated with the remote instead.
   
3. Check Power Supply
   
1. Verify that the fan is connected to US standard 120 volts/60 hz AC power.
   
4. Re-Pair the Wall Control (or Hand Held Remote) using the Memory Reset Function

5. Check Wiring
   
1. Ensure AC power is off at the breaker before inspecting electrical connections.
2. Verify that the ceiling connections are properly connected and done as shown in the owner’s manual.
   
3. Verify the connections have not been pulled out of their wire nuts.
6. Customer Service
   
1. If checklist items have not resolved the issue, submit a ticket for further assistance and replacement parts from customer service.
   
2. A defective motor controller (receiver) can cause issues like this in rare cases.

1. The Fan Beeps when Functions are Used (Wan't to disable beeping)

1. Re-pairing the wall control/remote with a long hold will toggle the beeping function.
